Auturgy & Amphigory
Good morning and good day, my favorite humans! (And the odd robot)
Do not hurt yourself trying to pronounce today’s newsletter title.
There’s some minor change afoot, but before we get into that, I have two things to say/announce:
THANK YOU THANK YOU to all my backers for helping my first Kickstarter get funded! I am now busy making all the things happen… which relate to this newsletter and I’ll cover more below
If you’re new to this newsletter (more than 100 of you were added this week) then you might not know about all my books and stories available (although keep reading this newsletter today for a discount on some of them):

If you’re in a situation where even spending a little money is not something you can do… you can still be supportive by sharing this campaign on social media. Another way to support me (and other indie authors like me) is to request my books at your local library!
Also make sure to read to the end of this newsletter—there’s a little discount buried in there, and news about newsletter changes—and check out other Indie writings! (And my bonus pic at the end.)
One of the websites I don’t visit as often as I’d like is The Phrontistery. Which is a thinking place. As in, that’s the definition of the word “phrontistery” and I like to think that cultivating phrontisteries is something a writer like me does.
But that site has lists and lists of fun words and I just spent almost an hour looking for the perfect one or two to describe my current situation.
Auturgy… self-action or independent activity. That sounds a lot like being a writer, especially an independent one. And amphigory? It’s nonsense. Which is half of what I come up with.
All this to say is that… I’m writing.
Specifically, with my recent Kickstarter funding I’m working on two main things:
The Annotated Robot Galaxy Series (henceforth known as A-RGS)
T is for Time Travel, the first in the T-Set books that come after the RGS
(They will both eventually be available to all, but Kickstarter backers will get them first.)
The A-RGS… I’m literally going through the entire series and adding in annotations. Several per chapter. In some cases, several per page. It’s been a lot of fun to do and I should have started months ago. Because of the fun.
But here’s one of the important things to know about T is for Time Travel… in a few short weeks, likely during the next newsletter, I’m going to be putting out a call for beta readers!
As in the past, I’ll have a sign-up form and choose from those who fill out the form to do a beta read.
“Adeena, do we have to have read The Robot Galaxy Series before hand?”
That’s an excellent question.
Answer: Mostly. But not entirely.
As in, yes, my focus will be on beta readers who’ve read all 4 books already, but I will be looking for one or two who’ve not completed the series and maybe one or two who haven’t yet because it’s possible the T-Set books will be an entryway for some.
The beta read sign up form will ask questions about whether or not you’ve read some or all of the books and such.
If you really want to read them now… well, you’re in luck… I have a special discount for the ebook version of the Robot Galaxy Series books (and ok, you can grab Lunar Logic ebook—or audiobook—with this discount code as well) that will be active until the end of the month. Go to my shopify store, the digital book page and use the code RGS50AUG25 when you checkout.
In the meantime, I’ve got a few more energy pennies back (read the last newsletter for that topic) and am excitedly working on this new material!
One more change in the works… For at least a few months, instead of sending this newsletter out every other week, starting in September, I need to reduce the frequency to once a month. At least for the next six months or so. But… there’s a higher chance each of those will have that flash fiction that you haven’t seen from me in a while…
Keep reading, please!
Keep reading because I routinely participate in newsletter swaps with other Indie Authors. This is one of the ways we help each other get the word our about our books. So please — check these folks out and see if they’re for you!

I also participate in group promos. There are a few this month! Check out all sorts of fiction here:
At The BIG Sci-Fi podcast, we’re in the middle of our in-between season break. So we decided to revisit some of our favorite episodes!
Steve’s was:
Brian’s:
Cris’ was about the sci-fi movie “Moonfall” (and this was before we were doing specific art per episode!):
and mine:
…which might not come as a surprise to anyone!
If you’re on Facebook, come join our private FB group where we discuss episodes, host weekly polls, and other fun! Just make sure to agree to the group rules when you send in the join request!
What’s next?
What’s next? I think I covered that above! A-RGS and T is for Time Travel. Very simple.
Today’s bonus pic… I would love for you all to respond/comment with captions to this:
All always, thanks for being here and reading all of stuff. Remember you can reply anytime with questions/comments/feedback!
Until next time… be kind, be well!
