Nice, one little question, what does the {T} in TSS stand for? I don’t remember seeing it in Star Trek. Also interesting explications on orbits, I remember thinking standard, standard for what or where? Keep up the good work, maybe we’ll meet on STTC in 27 for STTNG’s 40th anniversary.
Haha! I was wondering when someone was going to ask about that. :) This is not technically a Star Trek story nor is it set in the Trek universe although yes, there are a lot of similarities. The "T" is the TSS was the primary (well, the only way), I was able to show that in this flash fiction. It stands for: "Transgalactic" :)
I enjoyed your orbit story. Very Star Trek. A lesson in leadership and surviving as the most junior officer. It brought back many of my own stressful and indecisive moments as a second lieutenant in the Air Force. Well done!
Thanks for the quick orbital mechanics lesson prior to the story. Other than knowing orbital mechanics matter in space flight and they are often counter intuitive, I have zero knowledge of the subject. Your lesson was simple and helpful.
Glad it felt real! While I wasn't in the military, when it comes to hierarchical structures, I think there is a lot of similarity when someone is (or at least feels) "junior" to those around them. :)
And glad you appreciated the little bit of orbital mechanics as well! It's one of my favorite aspects of spaceflight. :)

Oh, I love it! Makes me want to read more. Only please - "we're here", not "where here".
lol fixed!! There's ALWAYS at least one typo that gets away from me! LOL
I really enjoy it
Thank you!!

Yay! Thank you!
Cute. And very realistic
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Very nice! I could easily see this playing out on the Shenzou or Discovery or Captain Pike's Enterprise bridge :D
Thanks!! Glad you liked it!
Not Your Standard Orbit has my personal seal of approval and that of the Empire.
haha thank you!! :)
I liked the Butterfly Orbit story but what I really liked was the graphic. It would make a great tee shirt or tote bag design.
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
